On Monday the 28th of June, Room 2 had a Class trip to the Museum. When we arrived at the museum in two vans, we had a quick snack before we started to experience World Wars. We had an instructor known as Aaron who taught us about the artifacts on display and the rules that had to be taught. Aaron led us up to the World War area to experience the countries in battle.
Then later, we got split into 3 groups and went to explore the volcano simulation house. As we were getting comfortable in the house, the experiment began and the house started shaking like we were in an earthquake. The news popped up on the TV alerting us about a new volcano erupting near Rangitoto island. The lights started to flicker and the group became frightened. In the next area, we went to the Hall of General Natural History. As we were walking, we saw an elephant known as Rajah was on display with a heartbreaking backstory. In October 1936 the Reincarnated (Reborn into another body) Rajah went on display in Auckland Museum's Hall of General Natural History, where he remained for 58 years..
After exploring and experiencing history, we had lunch in the foyer before leaving the museum. later then we were heading back to school, while driving on the main road back to school our teacher asked if we wanted a frozen coke, we all said yes, then we drove to McDonalds and had a break. we returned back to school and carried on with our normal learning.

DeleteThis was a cool day. I enjoyed taking Rm 2 and the conversations were a crackup. Were any names in the Hall of the fallen soldiers that looked familiar?
